Pyhäsalmi Mine Oy is a mine 100% owned by the Canadian First Quantum Minerals Limited, located in Pyhäjärvi in North Ostrobothnia. The mine employs more than 80 mining-related professionals, including contractors.

Activities
Underground ore mining ended in August 2022, after which demolition and closure of the underground mine began. Production continues at the concentrator, where pyrite, i.e. sulfur, is enriched from pyrite-rich tailings stored in the tailings area. Pyrite concentrate is delivered to both domestic and foreign customers. In our operations, we emphasize corporate responsibility, occupational safety, occupational health, environmental protection and consideration of the surrounding community.
